I first started dancing at the age of 7 years old at a local dance school in Hawick. During this time I was competing in dance competitions up and down the country and here is where I discovered my love for dance. Sadly after 8 years, the school decided to shut down. However, my love for dance still stayed strong. I knew at the age of 14 that dance was something I was so passionate about and wanted to continue in my future. This then started my commute every week to a dance school in Edinburgh where I continued to pursue my career in dance to the age of 19 specialising in Freestyle dance .
I then went on to study at my dance school in Edinburgh following the United Kingdom of Dance syllabus and become a member of the ADFP at 21 years old where I was able to take all my knowledge and love for dance and become a fully qualified teacher. I have now opened up Go2Dance in Hawick offering a few small classes every week which I absolutely love.
However, being a dancer, and having so much love for the skill I wanted to broaden my horizons, so I took the plunge and became qualified in the unique seamless dance which is Acro . I opened up my own studio in my local town where we produce the highest standards of dance. This is reflected by the many titles we have won including European Champion and British Champion .
My overall goal is to provide a fun, safe environment whilst encouraging pupils to reach their highest potential! Why stay at the same level? let’s aim for the sky!
Every achievement is celebrated and I am so proud of every one of my students no matter how big or small. We work hard but most importantly we have lots of fun along the way!
